Travel Tips: Packing as an Art
If you think that planning what to bring on your trip is the most challenging portion of your packing activity, think again. You will be surprised to know that there is more to packing than choosing the right clothes. It is also important that you know how to make them fit in your luggage so that they will be wrinkle-free. Consider the following travel tips.
For starters, you must learn how to fold your clothes. You can always practice first to get it right. If you are not sure of how to go about it, you should check out how clothing stores do their folding. If you fold your clothes right, chances are they will have fewer creases and wrinkles.
The next thing you should learn is how to place your clothes in your luggage. At this stage, you will have to make sure that you maximize space and at the same time, avoid wrinkling your clothes. Most travel experts recommend overlapping your clothes. Some even go to the lengths of putting tissue paper between their clothes to further avoid wrinkles.
But if you are more comfortable stacking your clothes, you should make sure that you stack them according to when you are planning to wear them. This way, there will be no need to root for certain clothes and wrinkling the rest.
Lastly, you can maximize space by utilizing all spaces including those inside your shoes. You can roll up you socks or underwear and place them inside. Once you reach the hotel, you should immediately take out all your clothes and hang them to avoid more wrinkles.
After your trip is over, do not shove your used clothes carelessly in your luggage because they will take up more space and you will not be able to fit all of them. Again, fold everything properly and make sure that none of them is balled up.
