Travel Tips to Manage Long Flights
One of the things that travelers dread is a long flight. If you fail to ensure your comfort, you will most probably find yourself sore and achy all over. Worse, you could even feel irritable and tired as soon as you land, making it impossible for you to immediately look forward to your trip.
Managing the toll of these long flights should not be hard especially with these tips:
- Bring extra cushioning. It does not matter what the season is, a fluffy jacket will come in handy every time. You can use it as a pillow or even a blanket especially now that airlines have started charging their passengers for such amenities. The good news is that your jacket will never be considered a carry-on and you could utilize the pockets as storage.
- Instant hot bottle. Instead of throwing away your empty bottle of water, you could still use it as a hot water bottle by asking the crew to fill it up with hot water. This is great for cold feet and even sore backs.
- Wear loose clothing. To ensure that you will have a comfortable flight, you should make an effort to choose loose-fitting clothes for the flight. In situations like this, you might want to think about comfort before style first.
- Read. Nothing passes the time better than reading a good book. Although you could listen to music or watch movies, you will never run out of battery with a book.
- Ensure Quiet. In order to block out the distractions around you, make sure you bring earplugs especially considering that most airlines have stopped giving them to passengers for free. You will be able to sleep better or read your book with these earplugs.
Long flights are indeed tiring but with the right attitude and sufficient preparation, you might never notice the time flying by.
